IntroductionThe AIAS Training Programme is multifaceted and seeks to serve a wide range of constituencies with the ultimate goal of improving land and agrarian policy process in Africa . The training programme's main goal is to ensure that Africa becomes master of her own destiny in terms of designing and implementing sustainable land and agrarian policies that will ensure that the rural poor have equitable and secure access to natural resources, their land rights are secure, are food secure and above all are contributing towards national food security and ultimately national development.
