Partners and Associates

The SMAIAS research work is carried out in partnership with and through networks of researchers and research institutions and CSO policy analysts, including a network of Zimbabwean and African researchers, and the Agrarian South Network researchers from Africa, Asia and Latin America. These networks constitute a consortium of institutions which collectively manage the Sam Moyo Agrarian Summer School, the SMAIAS promoted international journal and other training projects.

The SMAIAS has received support for this work mainly from the Open Society Institute of Southern Africa(OSISA), Norwegian Embassy, The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations ( FAO) Rome Office, Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) in Harare, Norwegian People’s Aid(NPA), Trust Africa, Ford Foundation, Action Aid and a few other donors. Currently, the  SMAIAS is partnering with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in training and engaging young scholars, researchers and civil society organizations. The partnership aims at increasing capacities and promoting policy dialogue on issues related to agrarian transformation, family farming and  rural development in support of the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
